Artistic Licence, Super Vision In Joint Agreement

Artistic Licence and Super Vision International Inc. have signed a joint development agreement to develop LED control systems. The partnership will develop the industry standard for regulating and controlling LED lighting systems that will be made available for open and widespread use throughout the industry.

Artistic Licence, based in London, is one of the early pioneers of software development and electronic control systems in the lighting industry. Their systems are installed in lighting venues and entertainment complexes worldwide. Super Vision of Orlando, FL, is a manufacturer of LED and fiber optic lighting systems.

“Both Artistic Licence and Super Vision are leaders in their field and respected pioneers of innovative technology. This new technology sharing agreement allows our companies to pool our resources and intellectual property,” states Wayne Howell, managing director of Artistic Licence.

Howell continues: “Our first area of cooperation is in the LED arena. Both companies are keen to see our wealth of IP and recent new inventions made available to the industry with fairness and nominal cost. I am sure that manufacturers and customers alike will see this as a hugely positive step forward compared to the recent dark ages of LED IP.”

“It is an honor to work with Wayne and his team at Artistic Licence,” states Brett Kingstone, Super Vision's CEO. “They share our vision of providing an open architecture in which all developers and manufactures in the industry can participate. Their vision of accelerating the growth of the LED lighting industry through a spirit of cooperation and support is inspiring.”
