Jules Fisher, creative consultant for Live Design's Broadway Lighting Master Classes (BLMC), has announced a distinguished faculty of leading lighting designers including Peggy Eisenhauer, Kevin Adams, Beverly Emmons, Chris Ackerlind, Howell Binkley, Brian MacDevitt, and Clifton Taylor — plus projection designer Wendall K. Harrington. The 13th edition of the BLMC will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, May 15 to 17, at the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts at New York University in New York City. BLMC participants will attend the Wednesday, May 16, evening performance of Spring Awakening on Broadway, with lighting by Kevin Adams.

The BLMC includes a manufacturer's showcase in the Eisner Lubin Auditorium on the fourth floor of NYU's Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, upstairs from the Skirball Center. Leading manufacturers of lighting technology will display cutting-edge products in the showcase on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 15 and 16. Initial corporate sponsors include Barco, Martin Professional, Microsoft, and Vari-Lite.

The week of the Broadway Master Classes also includes a one-day Projection Master Classes component on Friday, May 18, and the fifth annual Broadway Sound Master Classes (BSMC) on Saturday, May 19 and 20, at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. The week's special events also include the Live Design Honors on Tuesday, May 15, featuring a silent auction and raffle to benefit the ESTA Foundation's Behind the Scenes initiative.
