Rebel Heart Tour
Rebel Heart Tour opened on September 9 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada. The tour will continue on its North American leg before heading to Europe and Asia, and finally concluding in Brisbane, Australia on March 27, 2016.
To begin the concert, Madonna descends from above in a cage, singing "Iconic" as centurions danced with crucifixes around her. The catwalk is also in the shape of a crucifix with a heart at the top.
Three huge screens provide visual content, as well as theatrical effects. For "Material Girl," Madonna and her dancers use a screen as a massive slide.
The themes for concert design seemed to draw from Cirque du Soleil, 300, the Chinese New Year, Grease, and Catholicism, according to The Washington Post.
