Aspiring students seeking advanced degrees in acting, directing, theatrical design, technology, and management can meet with schools offering those programs on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 14 and 15. Hotel rates under $100 will be offered to participants, and the registration fee includes evening networking and social events.
LiNK, sponsored by Focal Press, allows candidates to submit resumes and portfolio materials online ahead of time and secure appointment times with representatives from universities and conservatories across the country.
A growing number of top theatre schools have already committed to participate – including the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Purdue University, the University of Texas at Austin, The University of Alabama, and many more. See the full list here.
Actors will be asked to prepare for a two and a half minute audition on Friday morning, Nov. 14. Stage managers, directors, and arts administration applicants will participate in 10-minute interviews on Friday afternoon. Design and tech candidates will have interviews on Saturday, Nov. 15.
Students will have a chance to mingle and network with program representatives and each other at the LiNK Soiree, a reception from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Check-in and registration will open Thurs., Nov. 13 from 5 to 7 p.m. After November 3, on-site registration will be $60. Participants are encouraged to pre-register to give college reps time to review their work.
