The Today Show's LD Peter Greenbaum Spills About The Nexus

Neon Trees at Today Show's Toyota Concert Series.

Lighting designer for NBC's Today Show and owner of Illumination By Design, Peter Greenbaum, talks about his experience with the Nexus 4 x 4 panel from Chauvet Professional. Greenbaum originally tried the panels for Mariah Carey's performance on the Today Show upon a recommendation from Drew DeCorleto, director of lighting production at WorldStage. He has since used them throughout the Today Show's Toyota Concert Series, which has had performances from over 27 artists, including Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts, Fall Out Boy, Train, Phillip Phillips, Neon Trees, and more, with a few more to come at the end of September and early October. There are 12 Nexus 4 x 4 panels on the Toyota Concert Series rig, and Greenbaum uses the fixtures as set pieces, eye candy, and colorizing lights. Watch the video below to hear Greenbaum discuss his experience with the panels from daytime lighting to level of brightness.
