LDI 2014 New Product: Robe BMFL Spot

The BMFL (Bright Multi-Functional Luminaire) Spot™ has a custom-designed light source that produces 250,000 lux at 5m, claims the manufacturer. The lamp produces light at a CRI of 92, and combined with a refined optical system, the 5° to 55° zoom results in a fat, homogenized beam without a hotspot. Its two color wheels with filters can be utilized to adjust color temperature, while two rotating gobo wheels feature six slot-and-lock gobo positions and two rotating prisms. The dual graphic wheels focus within the same focal plane, and the rotation and movement can be individually controlled and varied. Three grades of frost are available, and the dimmer is exceptionally smooth with no distortion. Aimed at long-throw applications, the fixture features newly-patented EMS™ (Electronic Motion Stabilizer) technology that enables it to absorb vibrations from audio outputs, truss movement, other sources.
