Exploring Light At Kinetica Art Fair

"The Walk" by Titia Ex

The 2013 Kinetica Art Fair featured multiple installations that explored light using the latest technology to create art, such as the projection mapped sculpture, "Fallen Star," by AA DLAB.

One sculpture called "The Walk" by light artist Titia Ex is a 5,000 pixel shimmering LED sphere. Within each pixel are nestled seven LEDs, which can create a combination of 60 million colors.

The "Thunderstorm Dress" by fashion designer Rainbow "Amy" Winters reacts to sound with changing LED patterns.

Visual artist David Ogle's "O18015" uses nylon fishing line that is stretched across an open space in a geometric grid and then illuminated with UV LED panels.
