WDMX At LDI

Wireless Solution Sweden AB is preparing for an exciting year at LDI 2007 in Orlando, Florida, November 12-18. The company is not only showing off new gear, but is offering visitors several chances throughout the trade show hall to learn more about wireless DMX technology and see close up demonstrations of the products.

The first demonstration will be held on Thursday, November 15 at 12pm, as part of Essential Electrical Training: Setting Up Control Systems. The complete seminar runs from 9:30am to 5:30pm in room L28. The course walks attendees through the concepts of linking lighting consoles, computers, and networking equipment, DMX distribution systems, and wireless DMX systems. The session will be taught by Richard Cadena, author of Automated Lighting: The Art and Science of Moving Light and John Huntington, Professor, NYC College of Technology, and author of Control Systems for Live Entertainment.

Also on November 15, Wireless Solution will be part of the "Magic of Wireless DMX and Dimming" seminar from 3:30pm to 5pm. Moderated by Doug Fleenor of Doug Fleenor Design, the session explores the various technologies that make wireless DMX and data transmission possible, with a focus on using wireless DMX and dimming in various applications from the live entertainment environment to theme parks and houses of worship. It includes demonstrations of wireless DMX and dimming in action, including a new free software from Wireless Solution that makes it easier for users to calculate distance to make the right antenna choice. Niclas Arvidsson and Hans Lau of Wireless Solution are panelists in the seminar, along with Gary Fails of City Theatrical, James Smith of RC4 Wireless, and Rob Johnston of Interactive Technologies.

Once the show floor opens on November 16, head over to Booth #803 for up close inspection of the latest products from Wireless Solution. For the first time in America, the company will display the two latest WDMX Micro products: The BlackBox S-1 Micro Transmitter and the BlackBox R-512 Micro Lite Receiver. The Micro products have all the benefits of WDMX inside a tough, compact plastic case at less than half the size, with an attractive price. The S-1 includes a full battery backup system. Both products include an integral antenna and are fully compatible with all other products in the WDMX range, with the industry’s highest radio output power with boosters available up to 1000mW.

Also on display at the Wireless Solution booth will be the new WDMX BlackBox S-2, the world’s first dual universe transmitter, capable of sending 1024 channels of interference-free DMX signal wirelessly. Designed with the rental and production markets in mind, the S-2 offers reliable plug and play operation, with two push buttons on the front to allow operation of universes 1 & 2 along with two DMX inputs both accepting full frame / full refresh DMX.

The S-2 will also be on display in the LDI New Product Showcase in the Exhibit Hall, where visitors can find a variety of new tools and efficient technologies. All products are prescreened to assure they were introduced in the year prior to the show, so visitors will be seeing only the best and most innovative technologies the industry has to offer.

“We’re so excited about all of the ways in which we are able to display our technology this year,” says Niclas Arvidsson, international sales manager for Wireless Solution, “LDI has really come a long way in 20 years, and every year it proves to be one of the best ways to find the most exciting new technology available.”
