Technologies For Worship At LDI

Celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2007 in Orlando, LDI will have its strongest accent on technologies for houses of worship to date. Presented by Technologies for Worship Magazine, the LDI conference includes a series of workshop geared to meet the needs of those working in the growing field of high-tech installations for houses of worship, from lighting and sound to video and broadcast applications. With sessions on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, November 15, 16, and 17, the houses of worship track is an essential part of the conference program at LDI2007. Designers, technicians, religious leaders, and community volunteers who help with productions will find these sessions full of valuable information and technical tips for improving the overall worship experience.

The sessions include: Moving Lights 101 with Tony Hansen of Techni-Lux; Video Serving: Realtime Visual Performance in Worship with John Broadhead; Lighting for the Video Camera with Jay Delp and Stephen Ellison; LED Lighting, Uses & Myths with Tony Hansen; Dynamic Praise and Worship with Donnie Haulk; Defining the Role of Technical Director in Today's Contemporary Houses of Worship with David Rauch; Psycho-Acoustic Speaker Design with Donnie Haulk; Lighting Systems Design for the Church Market with Stephen Ellison; Developing A Worship Manager with Brad Herring; and Mastering Youth Ministry Through Media/Video with Jay Delp.

“All of these sessions have a houses of worship accent, and have been programmed through the expertise of Technologies for Worship Magazine, LDI's partner in this exciting growth area where technology developed for the entertainment industry is now helping houses of worship increase the impact of their message,” says Ellen Lampert-Gréaux, LDI's conference manager. “We are pleased to be partnering with TFWM again this year. They play an important leadership role in this area.”

In addition to the sessions listed above, TFWM will also have a large presence on the LDI show floor, with a special pavilion dedicated to training. In addition to the “Quiet Stage” which highlights audio technology, there will also be a series of complimentary hands-on courses, including Audio Console Workshops, Line Array Workshops, Location Lighting Workshops, Remote Camera Training Boot Camp, and Video Mixing & Visual Performance in Worship. Cutting-edge technology for these workshops have been provided by TFWM's sponsors: Aerohead; Aviom; Edirol; EIKI; ETC; and Electro-Voice.

All of this will take place in the Technologies for Worship Booth #1987 on the LDI show floor at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL. For additional details and to register in advance for these hands-on free training sessions: www.tfwm.com/conferences_LDI2007
