Dear LDI Exhibitors,
As we head into the busy fall season, I wanted to take a moment to provide you with an update on some exciting things happening in the Live Design universe.
As you may know, I became brand leader of the Live Design franchise this past spring, which means that now I oversee LDI in addition to the Live Design Master Classes and all of our digital offerings. I had two immediate goals when I took on this role: 1) find a show manager who could represent the LDI brand on both the show floor and in the market as a whole; and 2) secure a date and location for LDI 2015. I’m pleased to announce success on both fronts.
First, Douglas Lugo has joined the team as the new LDI show manager. Doug comes to us from Nuernbergmesse North America, where he served as director of trade shows events, responsible for the planning and execution of shows, conferences, meetings etc., in the US, Asia, Europe, and Latin America. One of his key responsibilities there, American Coatings, is a biannual trade show with almost exactly the same footprint as LDI, in terms of overall space, number of exhibitors, etc. Doug takes a very hands-on approach with exhibitors so I am sure you will be interacting with him in the coming weeks. He reports to me and will be responsible for both LDI and the Master Classes events.
Doug joins our experienced team in sales (Ken Baird, Kelly Turner, Joanne Zola, and Dacia Coppola), content (Marian Sandberg, Ellen Lampert-Greaux, Robin Leven, and Meghan Perkins), and operations (Suzanne Gregory, Kristi Taylor-Mountain, and Robert Eldridge).
Second, based on the incredible success of last year’s LDI, the positive expectations for this year, and feedback from many key exhibitors, we have made the decision to remain in Las Vegas in 2015. LDI 2015 will be held Oct. 23-25 in the North Hall.
All of this comes as we are seeing tremendous growth on the show floor in 2014, with the addition of such key new exhibitors as Sony, 4 Wall, IMAG, Cavotec, Glow Motion Technologies, Light Parts, Epsilon, Harrington Hoists, and White Void, to name but a few. In addition, many key returning exhibitors, including Clay Paky, Rosco, Elation, d3, Chauvet, Avolites, Robe, Green Hippo, and many, many more will be unveiling new gear to the US audience for the first time. And registration is keeping pace with previous years, promising another successful event.
