Prior to the LDI show in 2001, the 100,000th Martin MAC moving head rolled off the company’s production line, a golden embossed luminaire now prominently displayed at the Martin manufacturing facility in Denmark. It took Martin five years to produce and sell the first 100,000 MACs.
Now, just four short years later, Martin has produced its 200,000th MAC, a MAC 700 profile spot, in northern Denmark.
“It is a proud moment for everyone at Martin to see our 200,000th MAC fixture roll off the production lines,” comments Martin Professional president and CEO Christian Engsted. “I am particularly proud to be leading Martin as we hit this major milestone for both Martin and the entertainment lighting industry.”
Martin displayed the milestone 200,000th MAC at its booth at ETS-LDI in Orlando.
