The new Scan 250 from American DJ (Booth #2000) is a 250W high-output professional intelligent scanner with 11 colors plus white and gobos--9 plus spot. It features a gobo shake effect, color and gobo scrolling, and strobing in every color.
The Scan 250 also offers advanced user features found on today’s professional units, such as the ability to run continuously all night with no on-off duty cycle.
The Scan 250’s low cost is achieved through the use of a halogen lamp. With 250W output, the lamp is enhanced by a high luminous parabolic reflector system, which sharpens and magnifies the optical intensity of the light beams, colors, and gobos.
The Scan 250 is equipped with four DMX channels. In addition, operating with any DMX512 controller, it can be run as a stand-alone sound-active effect. Multiple units can be linked together master/slave with XLR cable to put a light show that covers large areas.
The fixture comes with a Philips Long Life ZB-EHJ 24V 250W lamp. Its 19° beam angle allows the Scan 250 to create sharp, vivid effects in rooms with low ceilings.
American DJ is also offering a complete Scan 250 System, which includes four Scan 250 fixtures, one DMX Solo controller (with Scan 250 pre-programs), and four XLR cables.
