Tony Award-winning lighting designer Howell Binkley designed the lighting for the show’s world premiere at The Public Theatre, and redesigned it for the Richard Rodgers theatre on Broadway, where it is the hottest ticket in decades, and poised to sweep the Tony Awards this year. Binkley presents the lighting design from inception to completion: a look at inspiration for the design, technical challenges, details about the lighting rig and fixture choices, collaborating with the other designers, and achieving the lighting for this show, directed by Thomas Kail, that has redefined the paradigm of Broadway.
