E/T/C London Increases Christie Stock

E/T/C London has taken delivery of another nine Christie Roadster S+20K high power video projectors.

This follows a previous major investment in Christie just six months ago and reflects both the company’s unprecedented demands of the last quarter of 2007 and a general increase in its level of video work, particularly in the conference and concert sectors. “We needed to boost the equipment inventory to service more clients and an increased number of projects—it’s as simple as that,” says E/T/C London’s MD, Ross Ashton.

Recent E/T/C London projects utilizing Christie projectors have been many and varied. They include the Liverpool Culture Company’s “800 Light Years” show onto St George’s Hall, Liverpool; the Science Museum's Launchpad Gallery reopening onto the Shell Tower in London, and numerous corporate events such as the BT Digital Music Awards and The Travel Weekly Globe Awards. E/T/C London also supplied 18 Christies to Belgian superstars Clouseau for their 18-date festive run at the Antwerp Sportpalais.

Over the last two years, the Christie Roadster S+20K has become a standard for E/T/C’s projects requiring power, brightness and a compact, purpose-built package. Offering 20,000 ANSI lumens, DLP technology and a series of purpose-built features, the S+20K is one of the most versatile and flexible machines available. It has a Xenon illumination system, digital black level adjustment, and LiteLOC™ light output control, and produces large, bright, edge-blended images from the smallest sources.

The purchase reflects a growing trend for projection projects of all types, with PIGI and video being ideal complementary techniques, explains Ashton. “Video offers many creative and dynamic options, and particularly when used in conjunction with E/T/C’s proprietary OnlyView control platform, editing can continue right up until show time. This is helpful for accommodating the spontaneity often required for events like awards shows and conferences.”

Between its London and Paris offices, E/T/C now has 25 Christie S+20 projectors in addition to its stock of Christie Roadster HD 18Ks and over 50 PIGI high-power image projectors.
