5Qs: Corbin Hand, Production Designer And Manager

Eclectic is a good word for Corbin Hand’s skills and experience. From lighting to audio to stage management, Hand has done it all for concerts, theatre, and live broadcast. Learning everything he could at his local church, Hunter Street Baptist, during high school, the Alabama native headed out on the road after graduation as lighting director for traveling youth camp Student Life. In the following years, Hand toured as Rush Of Fools’ sole tech and manager, became audio crew chief for Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort, and then found his way back to the road as stage manager for Jake Owen. Now Hand holds the title of production manager and designer with the creative design firm, X1-Live.

Live Design chatted with Hand on his recent designs for the K-LOVE Fan Awards and Jacob Whitesides’ Basically Happy Tour.
