Bob Mccarthy
Bob McCarthy has been intimately involved in sound system optimization using advanced measurement tools for over 20 years. He has taken part in the development of every generation of the SIMTM acoustic measurement system and developed many of the optimization strategies that are currently standard practice. He has designed and optimized system of all types and scales throughout the world for clients such as Disney, Cirque du Soleil and many prestigious theatrical designers and concert halls. Bob has been dedicated to the education of engineers in this specialized field, having conducted training seminars in optimization and design around the world for more than two decades. Bob is the author of Sound Systems: Optimization and Design (2007 Focal Press) and the Meyer Sound Design Reference (1997).
He currently resides in St. Louis, Missouri as president of Alignment and Design Inc.
