Vincent Lighting Systems Adds Durstock, Hope as 2018 Interns

Cleveland, Ohio - Vincent Lighting Systems (VLS) announced the addition of two summer interns to their staff, as part of the VLS Internship Program for 2018.

Samantha Durstock has joined the team in its Cincinnati location. Sam is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, with a focus in Design and Technology at University of Kentucky. As well as designing lighting for main stage productions, she has experience with video, audio and lighting, working on various events through University Sound and Lights. Sam is passionate about lighting, and looking forward to expanding her craft.

Emily Hope has come onboard with the Cleveland office. A Design and Technology student at Wright State University, Emily has experience working with main stage productions, summer stock and IATSE calls. She is excited to expand her understanding of the business side of entertainment lighting.

The VLS Internship Program – successfully launched in 1987 for many years and re-launched in 2018 – is designed to help build the network, skills and professional development of aspiring professionals in the lighting and rigging industry. The program is a three-way partnership between the intern, Vincent Lighting Systems, and the educational institution that is sponsoring the intern. VLS is creating an environment for the intern, where they can gain knowledge and experience in all different facets of the lighting and rigging business, including project management, product and outside sales, rental and production sales and field work, shop operations, systems design, service, and finance.
