PGP Expands Reach With Cirque Adrenaline In Hong Kong

NASHVILLE — Premier Global Production continues to grow in both geography and diversity with its recent work in theatres all over the world, including the dynamic Cirque Adrenaline shows in Hong Kong.

The Nashville-based lighting company has been sending lights around the world for decades for some of music’s biggest artists, but in the past three years the company has expanded into the modern theatre world.

Starting with Le Noir in Japan in 2013, Premier Global has been branching out into theatre, lighting magic shows like The Illusionists, which recently completed a successful run on Broadway, with plans to tour America in 2016.

For Cirque Adrenaline — a spellbinding edgy take on the circus with acrobats, aerial acts and flying motorcycles — Premier Global shipped to Hong Kong a system that included 8 Tour Pro Aqua Beams, 12 Clay Paky Bee-Eye K-20’s, 16 Martin Viper Air FX’s, 58 VL 3500 FX’s, 18 VL 3500 Washes, 37 VL 3000 Spots,  and 22 GLP X4’s.

Using a GrandMA 2 full-size counsel, Mike MacDonald, the show’s lighting director, employed the variety of fixtures to full effect, adding a layer of visual pizazz to an already captivating show.

Before shipping, the entire system was prepped in Premier Global’s state-of-the-art rehearsal room located 20 minutes north of downtown Nashville.

Premier Global Production’s senior lighting account rep Steven “Creech” Anderson says it was a pleasure to once again work with Creative Producer Simon Painter and Production manager David Simpson.

“It’s always great to work them because they know exactly what they want for the budget they have,’’ Anderson says. “It makes it very easy for us.”

Premier Global Production, based in Nashville, Tennessee, has been providing lighting and staging equipment to some of the biggest touring acts in the world for nearly 30 years. More information can be found at www.premierglobalproduction.com.
