Global flightcase hardware and premium 19 inch racking manufacturer Penn Elcom will be highlighting its current server enclosure and rack ranges at the Data Centre World exhibition on 15th and 16th March 2017 at London’s ExCeL Centre.
Billed as the world’s ‘largest and most influential’ gathering for data centre expertise … it is the first time that Penn Elcom has taken a stand to showcase its streamlined product lines which are manufactured in the UK and suitable for a diversity of server applications.
The decision to exhibit is the direct result of an increase in demand for data related racking solutions and a steady growth of customers and business in this sector, explained Penn Elcom’s Rob Platt.
So much so that Penn is now producing several 19 inch rack product lines designed specifically for this specialist market in addition to all those popular in the pro audio and entertainment industry.
The quality and practical design of Penn’s leading server racking products makes the company a key contending supplier for this industry sector.
“We want to make a statement about this and where better to focus on than the UK’s largest trade fair, where we hope to engage in some serious networking, make some key contacts and establish leads for current and future business,” says Rob.
He and the team will be gauging reaction to any Penn products launched at the show as well as learning more about the expectations of the fast moving world of data centres. “There are several parallels with the pro audio / AV sector – both industries demand reliable and robust products, quick and efficient service plus great backup and support for any equipment”.
He adds that “it’s hugely exciting!” to be proactively exploring a new area of business.
Penn’s server enclosures are currently being manufactured in Hastings, UK, and standard sizes range from 22U to 47U units which are available off-the-shelf in sizes of 600x600 mm to 800x1000mm.
Key features include a pre-tapped rack rail, integrated cable management and adjustable tops and bottoms so racks can be customised as needed, plus superior heat management systems and quiet running options.
Completely bespoke racking systems can also be designed and built from scratch, a fully flexible option with other elements like near-silent fans offered for servers placed in close-proximity working environments.
