Lightware USA Showcases Lineup Of New Switchers And Extender At InfoComm 2017

Lightware USA will showcase new switchers and extenders from Hungary-based Lightware Visual Engineering at InfoComm 2017. Lightware USA, the US sales and support office for Lightware products, will be exhibiting in Booth 1754, June 14-16 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.

Topping the roster is Lightware's MX2-8x8 Full 4K Matrix Switcher, the first of the new MX2 standalone matrix switchers with HDMI 2.0, which supports uncompromised Full 4K UHD resolution at 60Hz 4:4:4.

Its compact size and silent design makes the 8x8 particularly suitable for offices and meeting rooms, 4K live events, and future-proof operation centers. It is also a perfect choice for home theater enthusiasts.

This standalone product has 8 HDMI 2.0 inputs and 8 HDMI 2.0 outputs transmitting up to 4K at 60Hz in 4:4:4 colorspace format, while supporting HDR, 3D, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio.

Proprietary Lightware technologies of Advanced EDID Management and Pixel Accurate Reclocking are included. Control options include a built-in website, RS-232, Ethernet and USB.

Joining the switcher lineup at InfoComm is Lightware's latest multiport switcher, the UMX-HDMI-140 with built-in Event Manager. It is designed to provide the necessary control for smaller collaborative spaces, such as huddle rooms. Control options include IR, RS-232 and Ethernet; the switcher handles digital and analog video and audio signals: VGA, YPrPb, DVI, HDMI 1.4 and DP 1.1 with HDCP and analog stereo audio from local inputs or embedded 7.1 HBR audio.

Lightware's HDMI 2.0 compatible OPTC-RX/TX220-Pro optical extender pair will make their debut at the show. The extenders are recommended for rental and staging applications, 4K live events and future-proof operation centers.

The extenders can be mounted on a rack shelf or used standalone. Optical outputs are paired with a Gigabit Ethernet port each for easy control and configuration. Galvanic isolation between the source and display helps avoid ground loops and hum effects. The video image is transported without frame latency.

Lightware's UBEX, Ultra-Bandwidth Variable Scaling Extender will also be shown. It features a new optical solution, which allows 4K UHD@60Hz 4:4:4 uncompressed signal extension with latency-free multistreaming. The video compression level of the signal can be freely set by the user. The device uses Video-over-IP transmission with standard 10 Gbps SFP and optical modules installed, which are easily exchangeable by the user.

UBEX suits various applications. With a standard Ethernet switch it perfectly serves the needs of huge office building environments and digital signage installations with a daisy-chain setup. An optional data diode operation mode is designed for classified networks, where strictly unidirectional data flow is fundamental.

UBEX is also developed for dual-screen applications, including control rooms, simulator rooms and video post-production facilities.
