Lightware to Introduce Four New Products at InfoComm

Lightware USA will showcase four new products from Hungary-based Lightware Visual Engineering at InfoComm 2016.  They include a new matrix switcher; a 4K, TPS and HDMI 1.4 input board; an HDMI distribution amplifier; and 4K TPS I/O boards.  Lightware USA, the US sales and support office for Lightware products, will be exhibiting in Booth C4819 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

With the MX8x8 HDMI 2.0 Lightware builds on its leadership role in matrix switching to introduce the first true 4K/UHD 4:4:4 60Hz HDMI 2.0 8x8 standalone matrix switcher.  Offering high resolution and maximum efficiency, it meets the demands of an industry moving swiftly to 4K environments for all aspects of business.  The switcher made its debut at ISE 2016 and will be shown for the first time in the US at InfoComm.

Compact and silent, the MX8x8 HDMI 2.0 is ideal for offices, meeting rooms and home theaters.  It offers 4K/UHD resolution at 60Hz 4:4:4 with 18Gbps speed per port.  It supports HDMI 2.0, which increased maximum throughput to allow for 4K resolution at 60fps.  The HDMI 2.0 standard also includes the options of Rec. 2020 color space, 25fps 3D formats, dual video streams, and up to 4 audio streams.

The new switcher also supports HDCP 2.2 next-generation content protection.  HDCP 2.2's advanced encryption ensures secure connection between source and display.

The MX8x8 HDMI 2.0 is expected to be available in Q4 2016.

Lightware's MX-4TPS2-4HDMI-IB, a 4K, TPS and HDMI 1.4 input board, will make its debut at InfoComm.  The new input board has four HDMI and four HDBaseT(TM) single CAT inputs providing HDMI 1.4, audio, Ethernet and RS-232 extension on a single CAT5/6/7 cable up to 120m in HDBaseT(TM) and up to 170m in Long reach mode (maximum resolution in Long reach mode is Full HD 1080p).

Resolutions up to 4K/UHD (30Hz RGB 4:4:4, 60Hz YCbCr 4:2:0) and 48-bit color depth are handled with all standard audio formats as well as 120Hz 3D signals. The board is compatible with deep color, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD audio.  A number of advanced professional functions are integrated in the board to ensure professional set up and operation.  PoE is offered as an add-on.

The MX-4TPS2-4HDMI-IB will be available in Q3 2016.

Lightware will also introduce the DA2-HDMI-4K-Plus-A, an HDMI distribution amplifier with audio embedder, de-embedder and HDCP.  It is designed for rental and staging, military, medical, digital signage, multi-room video, and conference rooms and collaborative telepresence applications.

It offers 4K/UHD (30Hz RGB 4:4:4, 60Hz YCbCr 4:2:0) and 3D capabilities and keeps sources' HDMI 1.4 or DVI output continuously active. The new multifunctional distribution amplifier features built-in Advanced EDID Management and pixel accurate reclocking with or without HDCP encryption.  The output signal is reclocked and stabilized using exclusive Lightware technology to remove jitter caused by long cable runs or poor quality sources.

The DA2-HDMI-4K-Plus-A can be rack-mounted or used standalone.  It is outfitted with the highest-grade gold-plated connectors to ensure reliable connection.

It will be available in Q2 2016.

In addition, Lightware's 25G-8TPS2-OB and -IB 4K TPS output and input boards will be unveiled at InfoComm 2016.  The I/O boards offer PoE options for Lightware's 25G hybrid routers and boast eight HDBaseT output and input ports.  They are compatible with the full range of Lightware TPS extenders and HDBaseT compliant third-party transmitters.

The 25G-8TPS2-OB and -IB feature HDMI 1.4 compliant video input over HDBaseT with a resolution of up to 4K/UHD (30Hz RGB or YCbCr 4:4:4, 60Hz YCbCr 4:2:0).  They have a video pass-through of 4:2:0 3840x2160@60Hz.

The input board handles embedded audio in the HDMI substream of the HDBaseT signal and can de-embed 2-channel LPCM and various IEC 61937 audio formats to the Forward Audio Layer.  It also supports embedding such audio streams from the Return Audio Layer to the HDMI signal.

The output board can de-embed 2-channel LPCM and various IEC 61937 audio formats from the HDMI substream of the HDBaseT signal to the Return Audio Layer.  It can also embed such audio streams from the Forward Audio Layer to the output HDBaseT signal.

All audio options of the output and input boards are software-configurable on a per-port basis.

The 25G-8TPS2-OB and -IB support a number of media layers: video layer with embedded audio, forward audio layer, return audio layer, Ethernet layer, USB KVM layer, Infra layer, Consumer Electronics Control layer, and RS-232 and RS-422 control layers.

The output and input boards also have digital or analog audio and remote powering add-ons.

The 25G-8TPS2-OB and -IB will be available in Q2 2016.
