Lectrosonics’ Karl Winkler And Kelly Fair To Present At AES@NAMM

Anaheim, CA (January 10, 2018) — In conjunction with this year’s annual NAMM Convention to be held here from January 25-28, 2018, the NAMM Show and the Audio Engineering Society have teamed up to present the inaugural AES@NAMM Pro Sound Symposium, a four-day series of educational sessions and training programs designed for working professionals in live sound, recording and performance audio. Lectrosonics will be participating in several panels and sessions as part of the Entertainment Wireless Academy during the four days of AES@NAMM, including information and training programs for the Duet digital IEM wireless monitor and IFB system, Venue2 multi-channel receiver system, and Wireless Designer coordination and management software.

Lectrosonics’ product training sessions will take place on Friday, January 26 and Saturday January 27th from - 1:00pm to 3:00pm. Karl Winkler, Vice President of Sales and Service at Lectrosonics and Kelly Fair, Western Regional Technical Sales Representative, will provide an interactive discussion on the current and future state of wireless microphone technology and use, the RF Spectrum, and best practices for optimizing your systems for the real world. Tradeoffs between various technologies will be covered, including Analog vs. Digital wireless and IEM systems and the issues involved with using both types of systems on the same stage. The latest products from Lectrosonics will be demonstrated and discussed, including the Duet digital IEM, Venue2 multichannel receiver system and Wireless Designer software.

On Thursday, Friday and Saturday, January 25, 26 and 27 from 11 am to 12 pm, Karl Winkler will be presenting a session called Wireless In-Ear Monitors and Spectrum Update, a discussion which will explore the issues of using analog and digital wireless, including in-ear systems, on the same stage. Also covered will be a review of spectrum changes. 

Winkler will also be featured as a panelist on two other sessions during AES@NAMM including one on the state of the post-auction Wireless Spectrum, to be held Thursday January 25, Friday January 26 and Saturday January 27 from 10 am to 11 am. Winkler will also be a panelist on Friday January 26 and Saturday January 27 from 5 pm to 6 pm on the Entertainment Wireless Q&A Panel, an open format question and answer panel featuring industry experts on various entertainment wireless topics.
