Latin pop icons Emmanuel and Mijares, two Mexican singers with an artistic career spanning more than 30 years and millions of albums sold, have been touring Mexico and the U.S. since 2013, breaking several attendance records along the way. Their show has evolved through the years and in order to give fans a unique experience at a special show in the city of Orizaba in Veracruz the duet added Elation Professional Fuze Wash Z350™ LED color-changing wash lights, Platinum HFX™ hybrid moving heads, SixPar 300™ LED Par lights and Protron 3K™ LED strobes to the production.
The stage was lit with 37 Platinum HFX fixtures, partly supplied by SM Productions. The design of talented lighting designer Axel Rebollo included 21 of the hybrid beam/spot/wash fixtures over the stage, 8 at the sides and 8 on the floor. For special looks, the Platinum HFX worked in spot mode, framing the stage in a variety of gobos or filling the venue with prism effects. At other times, working in beam mode, the designer splayed narrow and powerful 2.3-degree beams through the air.
The venue was flooded with color from 16 Fuze Wash Z350 LED wash lights raised on the front and sides of the stage. The single source PAR moving head luminaire with its 350W RGBW COB LED and 6-46 degree zoom was used to create smooth washes of light to fill large areas or to color specific zones. A row of 24 SixPar 300 Par color changers with 18 x 12-watt RGBWA + UV LEDs was used as back light to complete the atmosphere. Powerful punches of white light from 18 Protron 3K LED strobes, distributed throughout the stage, were the perfect final touch to a show worth remembering.
Emmanuel and Mijares’s "Two'r Amigos 2" tour has become their most successful outing of the last few years, having received the “Best Pop Show in Spanish” award at the Lunas del Auditorio 2017 ceremony, and is likely to be a favorite of their many fans for years to come.
