North America - Nearly seventy Chroma-Q® Color One 100™ LED PARs are now providing exterior color-changing effects to highlight the 'Icon Wall' sloping glass façade entrance to Oklahoma’s BOK Center multi-purpose arena.
Owned by the City Of Tulsa, the nearly 20,000-seater Bank of Oklahoma (BOK) Center is part of Vision 2025 - a project to grow economic and community infrastructure for future generations. The City hired SMG, a world leader in venue management, to manage the facility.
After being impressed by an onsite demonstration, SMG purchased the Chroma-Q Color One units for the project from locally-based Integrity Lighting. Integrity's CEO, Steve Nance oversaw the deal in collaboration with project manager, Ryan Call.
“We needed a high quality, high output LED fixture that was reliable, offered fantastic color output and was small enough to be housed in the existing installation space,” explains Ryan.
He continues: “We’re incredibly impressed with the color saturation and the quality of color output. There is no color shadowing on the white pipes that the fixtures are mainly highlighting, and the effect is superb.”
Designed to deliver above PAR performance from ONE source for a wide range of entertainment and architectural applications, the Chroma-Q Color One 100s feature an innovative fully homogenised beam virtually eliminating the color separation and shadows synonymous with LED lighting - and providing a smooth, uniform output.
An extensive color-mixing palette delivers deep-cold blues, red-hot lava looks and super-soft pastels - as well as a complete range of whites.
Other features of the Color One which make it ideal for venues as well as temporary events include the energy-efficient LED design, on-board DMX-512 & Power In/Out for easy installation, a versatile mounting yoke and a choice of IP20/IP65 models.
Equally suited to demanding show performances, the fixture features theatrical grade dimming and convection cooling for silent operation.
Following the success of the Color One 100s at the BOK Center project, Integrity Lighting has invested in further Color One 100s for its own rental inventory - replacing the LED PARs the company was previously offering.
The Color One 100 fixtures were purchased by Integrity Lighting for the project from Chroma-Q North American distributor, A.C. Lighting Inc.
