BlackTrax can transform any live performance at Prolight + Sound
At Prolight + Sound (Hall 4, Stand C71) CAST will be showcasing the latest enhancements to BlackTrax, its unique, innovative, real-time tracking system that brings new creative opportunities to anyone delivering an experience that is designed to be immersive, captivating and memorable. The company will work with an unprecedented range of partners at the show.
BlackTrax launches Version 2.3
The latest Version 2.3 of BlackTrax real time motion tracking system is being launched at the show and includes a number of significant new features.
BlackTrax is rapidly becoming an industry standard for automation of projections, robotic cameras, robotic lights, media, spatial audio and other equipment and applications that support the RTTrP open protocol. It is a vision-based system and has literally been deployed in over 8,000 shows globally from the recent Queen + Adam Lambert tour through Cirque du Soleil and the Eurovision Song Contest to major product launches and opening ceremonies. BlackTrax has a system that’s ideal for most applications and are hand-built in Toronto, Canada with the audience and application in mind.

Duel with BlackTrax
To illustrate BlackTrax’s extensive diversity and importantly the challenging and dynamic ways in which it can be deployed, at prolight + sound, a compelling 3-minute demonstration will be designed to showcase BlackTrax’s many tracking capabilities. The performance will involve a dancer interacting with theatre-themed Ultra HD projected graphics on the back wall and the floor.
As well as the opportunity to get hands-on with BlackTrax, the stand will also provide the opportunity for visitors to truly experience the power and creative flexibility of the system in a role-playing dueling game that sees the first ever integration of BlackTrax with the Unity game design and development platform.
The on-stand demonstration features solutions from disguise (formerly d3 Technologies) and Notch for projected- and live-generated content; projectors from Panasonic ; PTZ cameras from Panasonic and Bradley Engineering to track the dancer; and spatial sound integration from L-Acoustics.

wysiwyg R40
Another key focus on the booth will be wysiwyg Version R40 and a sneak peek of the soon to be released wysiwyg R41, the company’s all-in-one lighting design software, which is widely used throughout the industry. Featuring CAD, integrated paperwork, plots and visualization, wysiwyg is tailored for multi-level users and has the largest CAD library with thousands of 3D objects that can be used to design live performances from beginning to end.
