Bandit Lites Blooms at Antique Garden Show of Nashville

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE – Spring came early once again in at least one fashion as the Antiques and Garden Show of Nashville returned to the Music City Center. Now in its 28th year, the weekend show offers a wide swath of enticements, including antiques, posters, art, rugs, garden supplies and rare blooms. Bandit Lites provided the lighting for the event which featured Charles Spencer, brother of the late Diana, Princess of Wales and 9th Earl Spencer, as the keynote presenter, offering insight to the restoration efforts of his ancestral home, Althorp Estate.

Chris Lisle Lighting Design entrusted Bandit Lites to once again outfit a lighting package for the posh soiree that included more than 150 exhibitors. With over one hundred ETC Source Four Pars and lekos along with nearly one hundred other par fixtures, Lisle fashioned looks that not only added to the aesthetic of each individual vendor, but also enriched the total event.

Careful consideration was given by accenting specific looks at each distinct garden and noting the elements that needed to stand out, while still providing overall consistent lighting for the whole show. Where the musical performances or presentations would want lighting to stand out, the goal for the vendor lighting was to highlight and emphasize, rather than draw attention away. These extraordinary static looks by the Chris Lisle team, including Aaron Luke, helped turn the center into an oasis.

Bandit Lites techs Ty Veneziano and Steve Strickland applied Bandit’s excellent service, piloting through the convention center’s unique rigging and cable paths and making sure load in and load was a smooth process.
