Bandit Hires Laura McElmurray

KNOXVILLE, TENNESSEE – Bandit Lites, the world leader in concert lighting, is pleased to announce the hiring of Laura McElmurray to its global headquarters. McElmurray will be taking on the role of Accounts Payable Manager.

McElmurray received degrees in both Accounting and Business Administration and joins Bandit following working several years in other industries as an accountant. Her knowledge of day-to-day financial operations and knowledge of maintaining accurate records and reports are assets Shay Simpson, Bandit’s Controller, immediately recognized.

“Laura has been such a valuable addition to the Accounting team,” said Simpson. “She not only brings with her 10+ years of experience in Accounts Payable and general Accounting, but a level of detail that is imperative in her role. I look forward to seeing her expand her accounting knowledge with her career at Bandit Lites.”

After living in Augusta, Georgia, McElmurray and her husband returned to East Tennessee where she sought out a position that would allow her to draw upon her accounting knowledge and experience. She calls Bandit Lites a “perfect fit.”

“When I met with Michael Strickland and Shay, I was impressed with the longevity of the Bandit Lites and the clientele that the company has worked with over the years,” said McElmurray. “It seems like a “traditional” company built on a lot of hard work and dedication with old-fashion caring for the employees, but with modern technologies to keep up with the latest and greatest in the business industry. I look forward to many great years ahead!”
