A.C.T Lighting, Inc. will host a new product showcase in Manhattan on June 21 and 22 featuring the latest products from Clay Paky, MA Lighting, MDG and Robert Juliat. A.C.T Lighting is the exclusive distributor of the brands in North America.
The by-invitation event will take place in the Ford Foundation Studio at the Pershing Square Signature Center in the midtown theater district. Hours are from 10 am to 6 pm on Tuesday, June 21 and from 10 am to 4 pm on Wednesday, June 22. Coffee, refreshments and light snacks will be served.
The showcase will introduce two new fixtures: Clay Paky's Scenius Profile and Robert Juliat's Dalis LED cyc light. Invitees can book times for personal demos of these impressive new instruments, which are making their debut in the US.
The award-winning Scenius Profile is the latest top-of-the-line beam shaper from Clay Paky. An extraordinary tool for theaters, TV studios or large event sets, the Scenius Profile fashions uniform light beams without limits and frames scenic elements precisely with fixed or animated light.
The optical reflector has been designed especially for this product to ensure uniform projection across the whole beam opening and avoid the typical hotspot effect of many spotlights. The framing system operates on four focal planes; its exclusive "curtain effect" allows gradual total closure of the shape using any one of four independent, overlapping blades. The framing system also offers rotation on 90º.
The fixture's advanced optical unit and new 1400W OSRAM discharge lamp provide very high light output and an amazing CRI of 96. Scenius Profile boasts a CMY color system, linear CTO, seven fixed colors, 14 gobos (six rotating and eight fixed), a rotating prism, two variable frost filters and a very precise 0-100% dimmer.

Also guaranteed to attract attention at the showcase is Robert Juliat's new Dalis 300W LED cyc light. It is designed to deliver powerful, smooth coverage and a huge array of pastel and saturated colors.
The exclusive optical design of Dalis features patented asymmetrical micro reflectors to spread the light evenly over vertical surfaces and deliver a massive output across the full color spectrum. A protective glass window with highly-transmissive coating ensures optimal light transmission.
Dalis is equipped with an advanced fan-less cooling system for silent operation in all theater and studio environments. It is also flicker-free for TV studio compliance.
Dalis can be controlled via DMX/RDM, ArtNet and sACN. It can be mounted horizontally, vertically or on the deck using its flexible QuickRig mounting system. The winner of a PLASA 2015 Award for Innovation, Dalis is expected to quickly become the cyc light of choice for a wide range of applications.
