Wireless University Comes to LDI

Wireless Solution Sweden AB will be holding the next installment of Wireless University during LDI 2009, November 20-22 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. Wireless University is the popular series of presentations and hands-on demonstrations aimed at educating the industry on the technology and benefits of wireless DMX.

The one-hour seminars are free to LDI attendees and will cover topics such as pros and cons of wireless control, how it works, radio protocols (W-LAN, Bluetooth, etc.), choosing a radio system, system planning, and the importance of co-existence in the wireless superhighway. In addition to gaining valuable knowledge, attendees will have the opportunity to win 2000 USD in W-DMXâ„¢ equipment.

Sessions will be held in room 210C inside the Orange County Convention Center at the following times:

Friday, November 20 at 2pm

Saturday, November 21 at 11am

Saturday, November 21 at 2pm

Sunday, November 22 at 2pm

“The response to this educational series has been overwhelming,” says Niclas Arvidsson, CEO of Wireless Solution, “We have seen distributors, lighting designers, and even students attending and everyone has given positive feedback that it was time well spent. The fact is, the more we all know about wireless DMX technology, the quicker it will become a standard practice and help make a lot of installations easier, eco-friendler and more cost effective.”

The program has been held during LDI in the past, as well as other major trade shows such as PALME Asia and PLASA, with attendees giving high remarks to the educational value of the program. Lotta Schiefer, EMEA Sales Manager for Wireless Solution explains, ”Wireless control is rapidly increasing in popularity and one of our missions is to educate people so they have a better understanding of this technology. While the technology is extremely reliable and can be as simple as plug-n-play, the failures that occur are usually due to a misunderstanding of things such as antenna selection or other options. We simply want to provide accurate information to improve wireless practice.”

W-DMX by Wireless Solution Sweden AB is the number one system on the market for Wireless DMX, winning awards at major trade shows on both sides of the Atlantic. Lighting & Sound International magazine proclaimed that W-DMX “outshone the rest” in an independent test, “The Great Wireless Shootout”. It has been used in high profile projects all over the world, including the Celine Dion World Tour, the Pyramids of Giza, Times Square in New York City and on the world's largest ferris wheel, the Singapore Flyer.
