Vaddio Exceeds Expectations at InfoComm 2009

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (June 26, 2009) – If you stopped by the Vaddio booth at InfoComm 2009 you witnessed first-hand the buzz and excitement surrounding all of our new products. With new PTZ cameras (the ClearVIEW HD-18 and Canon BU-series cameras), as well as our new switchers (ControlVIEW XHD and ProductionVIEW HD-SDI), we were full of activity. Other products debuted at InfoComm included the new Canon BU-series of PTZ cameras, the ProductionVIEW Precision Camera Controller, as well as a variety of camera mounting brackets.

“We'd been patiently anticipating this year's show because of all the new products we launched - most notably the ClearVIEW HD-18, our new Robotic PTZ camera,” explained president of Vaddio, Rob Sheeley. “We couldn't have asked for a better venue to showcase the new product lines. If you were at the show you saw for yourself - the Vaddio booth had absolutely no down time.”

Vaddio debuted the groundbreaking ClearVIEW HD-18 robotic PTZ camera, the first affordable, HD Single CCD robotic PTZ camera of its kind. The ClearVIEW HD-18 offers high-quality HD/SD integration with Vaddio Cat. 5 cabling technology, a glass multi-element wide dynamic lens with 18x zoom, “Right Light” compensation and freedom to choose any resolution. Two Canon Robotic PTZ cameras were also added to the Vaddio product line at InfoComm 2009 - the BU-45H and the BU50H. The BU-45H high definition weatherproof camera features three 1/3-inch CCDs and a 20x optical zoom lens. The BU-50H remote-control robotic indoor pan-tilt HD camera comes equipped with three 1/3-inch CCDs and a 20x optical zoom lens. Used in conjunction with Vaddio's new ProductionVIEW HD-SDI camera console (also unveiled at InfoComm 2009) or ProductionVIEW Precision Camera Controller, the BU-series of cameras offer a fully functional HD-SDI remote controlled camera system.

ControlVIEW XHD made additional headlines at InfoComm 2009. This new presenter-controlled 6 x 1 seamless switcher/scaler can be used on its own, or to control up to six PTZ cameras (or other video sources) and assign up to 72 total camera preset positions. ControlVIEW XHD accepts analog SD, HD and RGBHV signals on all inputs, and up/downscales these signals to dual program outputs at either an SD, HD or RGBHV resolution.

“This is my 25th InfoComm in a row and the best one I have ever attended,” stated Dave Francis, president of NewComm Technologies, manufacturer rep for Vaddio. “In past years the floor has been really crowded, but because of companies cutting back this year the floor consisted of a smaller high-quality group of sales engineers, designers and consultants. The people I talked to had projects in hand and were looking for solutions.”
