Tony Rossello, who has been Senior Event Manager at Scharff Weisberg for the last nine years, has been named to the position of Senior Account Representative, announced Josh Weisberg. In his new role Rossello will be charged with developing business for the company's video and audio concerns and serving as the primary sales contact for those markets, as well as continuing to partner with current clients to meet their AV needs.
In the last year, Scharff Weisberg has successfully supported numerous large jobs including many inauguration-related events, big museum installations, high-profile television and Broadway shows, as well as large and small special events and corporate meetings. Also, in the past two years, the company has effectively combined interests with Video Applications in California and added a significant number of management staff to its roster.
"The change in Tony's title better reflects the role he now performs at Scharff Weisberg Lighting," notes Josh Weisberg. "He has been a key part of the company for many years handling some of our highest profile jobs and developing a trusted list of clients. Tony's well-developed combination of technical and customer service expertise will serve him well as he moves into his new role."
Rossello has been a leading member of the New York staging community for the last 27 years. He honed his craft as an A/V Manager and Production Director for several Marriott hotel properties and as a Show Coordinator for Bauer Audio/Video. Since joining Scharff Weisberg nine years ago he has worked behind the scenes in project management, directorial, sales and customer service capacities.
Rossello has demonstrated his flair for sales and management on such recent headline projects as The Huffington Post pre-inaugural party in Washington, D.C., the Pulse Park and Echoes exhibits at Madison Square Park, Tord Boontjies Bright Lights at Union Square Park, and various events at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Says Rossello, "I'm looking forward to further developing Scharff Weisberg's video and audio markets and introducing more clients to the extraordinary range of technical and creative capabilities we offer. I'm happy to be maintaining my relationship with all of my current clients, too, so they can count on our continuing collaboration for all their future projects."
Scharff Weisberg and Video Applications, firms with extensive histories in the presentation and staging markets, recently announced a co-ownership agreement. While continuing to operate independently the two companies work together strategically to provide clients with state-of-the-art audio, video and lighting equipment and services.
