Summit Steel wins TPi Award

Summit Steel has won the 2009 Total Production International (TPi) Award for ‘Favourite Rigging Company' beating stiff competition.

The 2009 TPi Awards – which recognise the industry's most innovative and ambitious technical, creative and production achievements - were presented by Phil Jupitus at London's Grosvenor House venue on February 9th.

The win follows an incredibly busy and successful year for Summit Steel worldwide, and was collected by Jon Bray and Chris Walker.

Jon Bray comments, “Naturally we're really excited to have won the Award! It's voted on by the industry, and as such represents a very real and credible recognition of all the energy, professionalism and comittment right across the company. From our crews on the frontline to our project managers and everyone else involved in the co-ordination and efficient running of the company's business.”

Summit is dedicated to providing the best and most technical advanced rigging equipment, skills and solutions to a wide range of sectors including concert touring, festivals corporate events as well as theatre, the arts and TV productions.

Shows and events from 2008 include Elton John's Red Piano tour, Cirque Du Soleil at the Albert Hall, Monkey Journey to the West, Sinatra The Tour and the Red Bull Air Race.

Summit's Jon Bray also won the 2008 Total Production International Award for ‘Rigger of the Year'.
