Stage Research Sponsors Sound 411, New Two-Day Informational Event Set For August 12-13 In New York City

Stage Research, Inc. has announced the launch of Sound 411, a two-day informational event designed to bring together sound professionals and students with leaders in the sound hardware and software industry. Sound 411 will be held August 12-13 at John Jay College in New York City; the event is free but pre-registration is required by visiting http://www.stageresearch.com/Sound411.

"We envision Sound 411 as an opportunity for anyone involved in sound for theatrical and touring productions or film and video to spend some quality time with audio manufacturers," says Carlton Guc, cofounder of Stage Research, the sponsor of Sound 411. "The two-day event will introduce a number of new products, provide some basic and advanced hands-on training, and offer a chance to play with some pretty cool equipment."

Each day alternates mini-presentations by the sponsors and participating manufacturers with breaks for attendees to explore the Manufacturers' Showcase and obtain informal product training. "Sound professionals will emerge with a greater understanding of these products, and students will be exposed to the tools of the trade in a real one-on-one environment," Guc reports.

Stage Research plans to present its ShowBuilder application which takes the drudgery out of production paperwork, detail new features in its flagship SFX 6.2 software for creating reliable and enriched soundscapes, and unveil its new RF Guru application, a problem-solver for RF Intermod. Designed specifically for the wireless market, RF Guru enables users to determine the frequencies they can and cannot use in any given venue.
