Iroquois, ON, Canada – August 13, 2009 – Ross Video is pleased to announce the addition of Developers to the openGear terminal equipment platform.
With the expansion of openGear in the marketplace, Ross has been approached by numerous 3rd party development organizations wanting to contribute to the openGear platform.
“openGear Developers will be certified to design products for existing openGear partners and customers,” said Eric Goodmurphy, Marketing Product Manager, openGear. “They will not actively sell into the marketplace but develop the solutions not yet available within the platform. These partnerships solidify that the openGear platform has truly become the industry standard.”
openGear started with a genuine desire to offer the industry the most flexible and advanced terminal equipment solution possible, an open-architecture system, eliminating the need for end user to support multiple platforms and control systems. This desire is now being recognized with more than 20 openGear partners coupled with our new openGear developers, all committed to developing solutions and further promoting the openGear standard.
