The Robert Juliat Vegas Adventure

mr-mrs-mansard-arrive-at-las-vegas.JPGIt is the time of year when, once again, all eyes in the entertainment industry turn towards the lights of Las Vegas for LDI 2010.

The Entertainment Capital of the World was also the destination earlier this year for two lucky winners of the Robert Juliat competition, staged in celebration of the company's 90th Anniversary.

Mr Jean-Jacques Mansard, Technical Director of Le Channel Scène Nationale de Calais, and his wife, Isabelle, won the 5-day trip for two to Las Vegas, with a 4 night stay at the Caesar's Palace hotel, after entering the competition at the SIEL-SATIS 2009 show in Paris.

Visitors to the stand were invited to write a short testimonial about Robert Juliat products. These were subsequently entered into a draw, the first prize of which also included a helicopter night-flight over Las Vegas and two tickets for the Cirque du Soleil® show, “O”.

Mr Mansard's winning testimonial, which was picked at random, stated: “Since 1982 I have been working with Robert Juliat products and I am delighted with them. They offer a complete range which – from the DMX tools to the projectors – have presented a consistent and innovative evolution of top quality products.”

Of the trip to Las Vegas, which took place in May, the Mansards declared: “It's a life at 100 miles per hour that Vegas offered us, a city full of colours and animation. This fabulous trip…will remain as a fantastic souvenir.”

At LDI 2010 (22-24 October), Robert Juliat will be exhibiting a selection of its range of long, medium and short throw followspots on Stand 1205. These will include the 2500W HMI Cyrano, the 1800W MSR DMX-controlled Victor and 1200W MSD Manon.

LDI 2010 also marks the official US launch of Robert Juliat's exciting new Aledin LED profile spotlight which last month won the PLASA 2010 Award for Innovation.

Aledin is the world's first LED generic profile, presenting a high output, low wattage LED alternative to conventional tungsten and discharge profile fixtures. The 105W LED lightsource generates an output of 4500 lumens, has a smooth dimming curve across the full dimming range, even at low levels, no UV/IR emissions and an extremely long LED life.
