Revamped Canon NAB Booth Features Lighting from 4Wall Las Vegas

nab-2012-canon-7-copy.jpg Las Vegas, NV- 4Wall Las Vegas recently teamed with Daniel Wallace LTD. and Lighting Designer Glenn Wade to provide lighting for the most elaborate Canon NAB booth to date.

Canon has long used NAB as a showcase for its latest and greatest products. Entering NAB 2012 however, the company wanted to make an even larger splash than usual to promote its successful new Digital SLR line. Enter booth designer Imagination, a new addition to the Canon exhibit team, who with MC2 created a clean and simple booth design with four separate areas for customer interaction.

To light the four sections of the booth, which included a live presentation area as well as demonstration areas featuring “live photo shoot” sets and more, Wade chose a circle truss configuration that allowed him to keep the focus on each area easily.

Fighting light pollution from nearby booths, as well as a booth design that was on a fast track, the designer opted for Vari*Lite VL3500 Spot fixtures within the circle truss complemented with ETC Source Four Ellipsoidals. This allowed maximum flexibility to light products and people as they changed within each of the four sections of the booth.

“The vision of the booth was to be very clean and simple, and to really focus on lighting the products,” Wade said, “As one of the biggest booths within NAB, we felt we could create a number of different sections within the booth as stand-alone areas that would draw people in.”

As for choosing 4Wall as his equipment provider, Wade stated a number of reasons.

“We have always been happy when I worked with 4Wall in the past. The support is great and they also work with the client's budget to help make the project a success.”
