Rascal Flatts Unstoppable with Bandit

rascal-flatts.jpgEight platinum albums and 10 number one singles later, Rascal Flatts sits squarely atop the music industry. Every album, single and tour of this phenomenal act has been met with complete adulation and eager anticipation. In 2010 as the ride continued, managers Trey Turner and Doug Nichols again turned to accomplished designer Bob Peterson and Bandit Lites for their lighting needs. The current tour, Unstoppable, is not only the name of the current album, but also seems to describe this music machine. Sold out shows, TV appearances, award shows and movies are all part of the daily life of Jay DeMarcus, Gary LeVox and Joe Don Rooney, otherwise known as Rascal Flatts. There truly seems to be no signs of letting up for this award-winning group.

To enhance the already high energy show Peterson used over 150 VL 3500 Spots, VL 3500 Washes, VL 3000 Spots, VL 500 Washes and VL 2500 Spots as his battery of moving lights. Martin Atomic Strobes, Lycian M2 Spots, Thomas 4 Lights and cyc lights as well as Thomas 9 Light Maxi Brutes were all pressed into use. Peterson used a touch of LED as he engaged 40 GRNLite Washes for set and up light in various locations. His control of choice is the formidable Grand MA, run flawlessly each night by long time lighting director Andy Knighton.

The tour is guided expertly each week by tour manager Jake LaGrone, tour accountant Mike McGrath, production manager Kendall Carter, and stage manager Jay Schwartz. The lighting and video are second to none in any genre of music as Flatts pulls out all the stops to deliver the highest quality live show in the industry. Set designer to the stars Bruce Rodgers has worked for several years with the band and Turner and Rodgers together have even garnered a Set Designer of the Year Award! The mission of everyone on the team is to deliver the absolutely highest quality live show from start to finish, and they have achieved that goal each and every year. Bandit Vice President Michael Golden has been the client rep since the inception.

As 2011 starts, Rascal hits the road again to finish the tour, now named Nothing Like This after their newest album, which is now at number one. The show is a must see event and the gang will continue through 2001 delighting audiences worldwide, with Bandit Lites in tow!
