Production North, I-Pix and Bandit deliver Greener McFly!

mcfly-2010.jpgProduction North principle Iain Whitehead and lighting designer Dan Hardiman worked with Bandit UK CE Lester Cobrin for the latest McFly UK tour, and took the show in a very Green direction. The world famous I-Pix BB7's were called into play as the heart of the system by Hardiman and they were supplemented by Pixel Range Pixilines. The revolutionary I-Pix BB7s' provide a look, a punch and a texture not found in any other light, Bandit has acquired a large number of these and is buying more I-Pix products with regularity making it a part of the move to green.

This green beginning was augmented with Martin MAC 2000 Washes ad Profiles, as well as Atomic Strobes with color changers. Thomas 4 and 8 lights with changers were also employed to produce power washes. Lycian Starklites were Hardimans' truss spot of choice and the entire show is controlled by a Whole Hog 3 Console, operated by Paul van den Heijkant. Crew Chief Steve “Stona” Rusling and staff member Neil Scrivener kept the system perfect from day to day.

McFly has long been known for its high energy, irreverent and always fun stage shows. This tour is no exception as the band cross their way across the UK leaving delighted fans in their wake. Bandit has worked with Production North and McFly for many years and look forward to an even longer, brighter future together. The current tour is in support of the release of there newest record, “Above The Noise”. Their debut album in 2004, “Room on the 3rd Floor” debuted at number 1 in the UK, making them the youngest band ever to debut at # 1, taking that crown from The Beatles!

The band has experience phenomenal success in every media possible, from music, to radio, to film, to television to live personal appearances. They have worked with countless others from Lindsay Lohan to superstar Taio Cruz to Top Gear and Top of the Pops.

Hardiman has long been known for his stunning visual work and his delivery on McFly is again a tremendous success. The artful weaving of light that Hardiman creates for McFly makes the show a complete success. Bandit is very proud to be part of such a great team on this tour.
