Production Glue Cements Company Structure Appoints New Directors

New York – production glue, llc, a New York City-based agency that executes unique live events, today announced that is has further cemented its company structure with the appointment of two new directors: John Petrafesa, Director of Strategic & Financial Operations, and Brian Fehd, Director of Production. These additions bring the total full-time staff members of the company to 15. production glue also employs dozens of freelance and part-time staffers.

Part of a structural plan designed to support multi-level company growth, founders Tom Bussey and Eric Tetuan commissioned Petrafesa and Fehd, both long-time industry peers, to spearhead financial and technical efficiency, benefiting internal and external development.

“We founded production glue in 2006, and we are thrilled we have the need and the future that requires adding Brian and John to our team,” said Bussey. “Involving these two outstanding individuals and drawing on their years of industry experience will allow us to better address the ever increasing pace of the event industry, anticipate client needs, and service projects of expanding range and complexity.”

JOHN PETRAFESA: (Director of Strategic & Financial Operations)

John Petrafesa spent many years supporting production glue as a vendor of entertainment technology equipment and services. Now, as part of the glue family, Petrafesa focuses on keeping the company finances in order, finding new areas of growth, and serving as the agency's in-house audio expert.

Petrafesa began his career in the entertainment industry as a Broadway and touring Sound Engineer and designer for many successful shows. His technical knowledge transferred well into the event world, where he has held various audio and lighting roles for clients including Mohegan Sun Casino and the FIFA World Congress. As a past partner on some of the agency's most technically intensive events, his familiarity with glue's corporate functions, concerts, and shows make him a natural fit for the team.

Bussey and Petrafesa met on the U.S. Tour of “Beauty and the Beast” in 1994 (as Technical Director and Sound Engineer, respectively.) Joint efforts and projects continued while Bussey took the path of Technical Direction, and Petrafesa delved into sound design and the art of building businesses.

“John's practiced business savvy and managerial skills, paired with his overall knowledge of the industry and long-standing relationship with production glue make him the ideal Director of Strategic & Financial Operations,” said Tetuan. “Although having an in-house audio expert has its obvious benefits, we are keen to use John's business acumen to help shape continued growth of production glue.”

BRIAN FEHD: (Director of Production)

A specialist in the field of entertainment production management and projects for the live audience, Brian Fehd joins production glue as Director of Production. With expertise in streamlining operations for expanding organizations, Fehd oversees the agency's current production teams and project processes, and fosters the inner-workings behind the growth of glue.

After working alongside production glue's technical team on numerous projects, including upfronts for CW and AOL, Fehd became a permanent fixture in the glue office in 2011. With more than 15 years in the industry, he has honed a career of relevant roles, including Technical Director for Frederick P. Rose Hall, home of Jazz at Lincoln Center (and home to many glue events), and president/co-owner of an innovative entertainment technology development company (where he became a U.S. patent-holder for one of his electrical inventions.) Fehd has created shows for production and television, attractions, and special events around the world, including Blue Man Group, Cirque de Soleil, STREB, Tap Dogs, and The 1996 Summer Olympic Games. His U.S. work has spanned the coasts, from jobs with the San Diego Zoo to The City of New York.

With an extensive background in production management and technological development, Fehd provides guidance on the multi-faceted aspects of production the company handles, including staff requirements, subcontractors, technology and equipment.

“In working with Brian countless times as a partner [at Jazz at Lincoln Center], we have always admired his commitment to this industry and each project,” said Bussey. “Brian always had control of everything under his watch, and dedicating those skills to streamlining our approach enables us to better serve clients and collaborate with vendors.”

In addition to maximizing organization, Fehd will focus on leveraging production glue's technical teams, as well as identifying ways to anticipate client and staff needs through constant, proactive discussion and strategy.

“production glue consistently strives for advanced levels of management and efficiency, start to finish,” said Tetuan. “With Brian, we further emphasize that, and gain support for both current and future events.”

With these two dynamic additions, production glue looks forward to continually strengthening relationships with current and future clients, vendors, and industry peers.
