PRG at LDI 2009

New Windsor, NY—November 16, 2009—There is only one place at LDI 2009 to see four of this year's most talked about products - the PRG demo room N210C. PRG will host demonstrations of the Bad Boyâ„¢ luminaire; the Mbox EXtremeâ„¢ v3 media server; and the V676â„¢ lighting control console; all powered by the Series 400â„¢ Power and Data Distribution system. Bad Boy and Series 400 demonstrations will begin at 2:00 pm on Friday, Nov. 20th and continue through 3:00 pm Sunday, November 22nd. If you would like to schedule a demonstration of the V676 console or the Mbox EXtremeâ„¢ v3 media server simply contact Anne Johnston at [email protected].

PRG's family of products has been received rave reviews this year and the PRG meeting room (N210C) at LDI is a great way to see what all the buzz has been about.

Since its debut at last year's LDI, the Bad Boy has been logging a lot of miles on a wide variety of projects, including tours for Oasis, Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus and of course the U2 360° tour, which used 196 Bad Boys as the principal means of illumination. Bad Boy was also used on numerous television projects including the CMT Awards, American Idol and the Eurovision Song Contest.

LD Nick Whitehouse took PRG's new V676 lighting control console out on its first concert tour, The Circus Starring Britney Spears, and then he went on to us it on Kylie Minogue's recent US tour. In television, LD Bob Dickinson, working with programmer Andy O'Reilly, used the V676 on the 2009 Emmy Awards and the CMA Awards. And the V676 is now on Broadway controlling Robert Wierzel's lighting design for FELA!, and programmer Aland Henderson is using it on the Broadway-bound Addams Family, lighting design by Natasha Katz.

The Mbox v3 has been getting a lot of use in a wide variety of applications including the Microsoft Xbox launch at the E3 trade show, the U2 360° Tour, Madonna's recent Sticky and Sweet world tour, Jay-Z's Blueprint 3 tour, as well as on Broadway's Bye, Bye Birdie.

Conference sessions related to PRG's proprietary products include: “A Look at the Bad Boy” on Friday, Nov. 20th from 11am-12:30pm and “Controlling the Vision: An inside look at the Mbox EXtreme media server” on Saturday, Nov 21st from 11am-12:30pm. These sessions are open to anyone with a full-conference or a single-day conference pass.

Join Willie Williams and his team for the “Designing the U2 360° Tour” panel on Saturday, Nov. 21st from 2 pm-4pm in the PRG Light Lab. This LDI session is open to anyone with an LDI full conference pass or Saturday conference pass.
