Rose Brand's Precision Cut Fabric wins Best Debuting Product Award at LDI

Secaucus, New Jersey: December 4, 2009. Lighting Design International awarded Rose Brand's Precision Cut Fabric the award for best debuting product at the LDI Entertainment Technology Show in Orlando, Florida Nov.20-22nd, 2009. Precision cut silver crushed Voile was displayed in Rose Brand's booth as part of the exterior décor of the booth.

This computer controlled cutting service opens the door to new design possibilities. CAD or vector drawing files are used to produce finished cut pieces within tight tolerances, and with very high repeatability, to achieve extraordinary patterns. Michael Reed, the head of Rose Brand's Digital Department stated, “This process will help many designers implement unique scenic elements that deliver visual punch to their productions. I am delighted that the judges at the LDI show were so impressed and that we now have this extraordinary technique as part of our services.”

Rose Brand's Precision Cut Poly Silk was used by designer James Youman's to create the dramatic Ribbon Drop for Broadway's West Side Story and Tony Awards broadcast. The precision cut process works best on synthetic fabrics and is offered in single panels up to 6' x 35'. Larger pieces can be manufactured by seaming together multiple panels. www.rosebrand.com
