Steve Gilbard from coolux is dropping some mad images and techniques in scenic mapping, blending and image warping. Nigel Sadler from Green Hippo blew the crowd away with the new image paint feature on Hippo, allowing the user to pipe Photoshop through the hippo and use those powerful manipulation tools to create live on stage painting, really specific masks, and crisp scenic detail.
We started with a primer on blending techniques, hardware considerations, and techniques for low/no budget approaches to this. The particpants seem to be writing furiously... Mmmm good technique, makes good art.
