(St. Louis) provided the two-day ‘Rock on the Range' (ROTR) Festival in Columbus, OH with audio and lighting production for the main stage that included 36 elements per side of a NEXO GEO-T line array. Bands performing included Sevendust, Theory of a Deadman, Puddle of Mudd, Drowning Pool, 3 Days Grace, Deftones, Apocolyptica, 5 Finger Death Punch, Slash, Seether, Godsmack, Rob Zombie, and Limp Bizkit. Approximately 100,000 attended the late May hard rock event at Crew Soccer Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, the largest ROTR event of the four held to date.

For 24 years, Logic Systems Sound and Lighting has provided its client roster with cutting edge technology and design. Logic Systems has provided audio and lighting for ROTR since its inception, and has enjoyed seeing the Festival grow from a local radio show to a national event in just a few years.

nexo-geo-t-36-deep-rock-on-the-range.jpgFor this year's Festival, which is believed to be the largest implementation of a NEXO GEO T ever, Logic Systems sub-rented some of the main cabinets and power from ESI Audio in Tampa, Florida. The system was designed to provide even coverage out to 450 feet. SPL averaged between 115 and 120 db, with peaks in the 124db range. Doug Fowler, Fowler Audio, was on hand to help with system tuning and alignment.

“The sound quality and overall performance were nothing less than stunning!” states Chip Self, President of Logic Systems Sound & Lighting, Inc. “Without exception, the guest engineers were very impressed with the system's performance. In fact, most artist engineers did little, or no, system EQ.”

Logic Systems provided 24 NEXO CD-18s, 20 NX242 processors and two Yamaha PM5D-RH digital audio consoles to complete the NEXO/Yamaha portion of the audio.
