Legendary Heavy Metal Band Sepultura To Appear At NAMM 2011 AKG Booth For Autograph-Signing Sessions

Sepultura, one of the world's most popular and influential heavy metal bands, is set to appear at the AKG Booth, #7800 (in the Anaheim Convention Center) for two special autograph-signing sessions at Winter NAMM. The band will be on hand Thursday, January 13, at 2:00PM and Saturday, January 15, at 2:00PM. Appearing will be vocalist and guitarist Derrick Green, guitarist Andreas Kisser, bassist Paulo Xisto Pinto Jr. and drummer Jean Dolablla.

Formed in Brazil in 1984, Sepultura attained international fame for their uncompromising, aggressive music that blends heavy metal, thrash, extreme metal, hardcore and groove metal, along with the musical elements of the band's native country. Sepultura has sold nearly 20 million records worldwide, with a new album due in 2011.

“Sepultura is another example of the reliability AKG offers performers across all genres of music, live or in the studio,” Alfred Reinprecht, marketing manager, AKG. “The band has had a huge influence on listeners, fans and fellow musicians, and we are excited to give NAMM attendees a unique opportunity to meet and mingle with Sepultura.”

Since their debut in 1984, Sepultura has enjoyed both critical and popular acclaim for albums including Beneath the Remains, Arise, Chaos A.D., Roots and A-Lex. All-Music Guide called Sepultura “one of the leading creative trendsetters of the aggressive music scene” and stated, “Chaos A.D. ranks as one of the greatest heavy metal albums of all time.”
