Tuesday, January 6th, 6:30pm to 8:30pm: Solid State Lighting

Programs North Committee presents an evening of LED lighting description, function and components:

Topics: What is LED or Solid State Lighting?... How does it operate?... What is thermal management?... What are circuit board arrays, optics, and controls? Some key challenges of LED lighting will also be discussed, including color consistency, binning, color variation and thermal management. Speaker: Jeff Graffum, LC, Regional Specifications Sales Manager, Lightolier-Philips Group. Meeting includes banquet dinner with salad, dessert, soda, coffee, tea and cash bar available. And the deadline for the Richard Kelly Grant is January 30, 2009: The Richard Kelly Grant was established by the New York Section of the Illuminating Engineering Society in 1980. Originally conceived as a scholarship program and later opened to young persons working in lighting in North A merica, the Grant is administered by the New York Section under the auspices of the IESNA.
