Hitting the Road The 2012 Elation Road Show Begins February 28

roadshowlogos.jpgLOS ANGELES, February 22, 2012 (For Immediate Release) – It's time for Elation Professional to pack up its newest and most exciting lighting fixtures and take them on the road for its 2012 Road Show. And since there's nothing “same old, same old” about the company's lighting fixtures, the 2012 Elation Road Show will be anything but ordinary.

As with past Road Shows, there will be good times, good food, swag and giveaways, but instead of demonstrations and presentations in hotel conference rooms, this year's Elation Road Show will take place in real world lighting venues – the nightclubs and recording studios where the fixtures will be used – giving attendees the opportunity to see how the lights work in the settings for which they were designed.

Beginning February 28 at Full Sail Live in Orlando, Florida, two traveling rigs loaded with Elation's newest, “beyond the ordinary” products will be crossing the country like the road show for a major concert tour, stopping at venues along the way for fun and informative sessions that introduce lighting professionals to the latest innovations in professional lighting. Each stop on the Road Show will be entertaining as well as educational, with lunch served at the venues along with a happy hour at the end of each session whenever possible. There will be drawings at each event for product prizes, swag and giveaways, as well.

Among the new Elation products to be showcased during the Road Show are:

Platinum Beam 15R, a 300-watt beam moving head effect powered by the new Philips MSD Platinum 15R lamp that blasts out the tight, narrow focus and ultra-brightness of a classic aircraft landing light Platinum Wash ZFX Pro, a 190-watt RGBW moving head wash with zoom and effects that has the light output of a 700-watt fixture

Flex Pixel Tape, a thin and flexible LED circuit strip that features an adhesive backing, allowing users to add glowing accents of color anywhere – on signs, stages, walls or furniture

EPV 10, a large yet lightweight and easy to install video panel with a wide viewing angle of 140º horizontal and 110º vertical

“Although it takes more time and effort to schedule Road Show tour stops at real world venues rather than hotel conference rooms, we believe it's worth it because lighting professionals can see how our products function and perform in real world settings,” said Eric Loader, Director of Sales for Elation Professional. “When Elation products are shown in venues such as nightclubs and recording studios, lighting professionals are better able to see how they will fit into their designs or meet their clients' needs. This hands-on atmosphere creates fantastic opportunities for attendees to really get to know Elation's products up close and personal that they wouldn't get in a hotel setting.”

The first four of Elations' Road Show events will begin February 28, 2012 at Full Sail Live in Orlando, Florida. The tour then continues to Club Space in Miami on March 1, the Vanquish Lounge in Atlanta, Georgia on March 6, and Soundcheck in Nashville, Tennessee on March 8. For more information on these dates, and a full list of upcoming dates, visit the Elation Road Show website. This is not a complete listing of all Road Show events; more will be added so lighting professionals are encouraged to check the site frequently for updates.
