Fender® & Fishman Collaborate On "Hit" Ukulele For Train Tour

stafford.jpgUnless you've been sleeping under a rock somewhere, you've heard Train's incredibly catchy hit single "Hey, Soul Sister" that's all over the airwaves.

The crisp and melodic underpinning of the acoustic instrumentation is by guitarist Jimmy Stafford playing a Fender Ukulele Nohea with a Koa body and Rosewood fingerboard. Jimmy has taken two of these Ukes on the road with Train, each outfitted with a custom Fishman amplification system.

Asked about the instruments, Stafford said, “I've been using Fender Ukuleles in the studio and on tour for the past year now performing our hit song "Hey, Soul Sister." Fender and Fishman teamed up to make a really great instrument comparable to some of the finest Hawaiian Ukulele's out there. I have a feeling I'll be using this Ukulele to play this song for the rest of my life!!!”
