“We're delighted that Escape is bringing its superb RenderMan training to New York City,” said Chris Ford, RenderMan Business Director at Pixar. “Derived from the production experience of some of RenderMan's most sophisticated practitioners, this course is an excellent opportunity for students to become fluent in Pixar's RenderMan at a certified level.”
Pixar's RenderMan Fundamentals course begins with an introduction to the software, including the development of RenderMan, its primary capabilities, its impact on feature film development and how it differs from other renderers on the market. The course continues with an overview of the tools included in RenderMan Studio, ending with a practical exercise where the students apply all of the techniques that they have learned to solve problems typically encountered in a production environment. All RenderMan Fundamentals course attendees will also receive access to the online courseware, Pixar's official learning tool.
“As the official developer of Pixar's RenderMan Certified Courseware and a U.S. reseller of RenderMan software, no one is better equipped to teach this course than Escape,” said Ed Caracappa, Escape Studios' USA Commercial Director. “This course will provide students with the appropriate levels of confidence and knowledge required to continue exploring and learning RenderMan beyond the classroom.”
