CHAUVET® Professional On Stage with Miley Cyrus and DJ Borgore

Made of 65 MVP™ 18 fixtures, the truck displayed custom-made animations, while Cyrus and Borgore sang “Decisions.”

chauvet-cyrusborgore-web-2.jpg A concept of Morgan Lavery (VJ Infinight), owner of Future Visual, the idea of the Borgore Cream Machine is to make Borgore look like he is driving inside an ice cream truck, equipped with real 30-inch rims that move and spun around on motors. Forty-seven MVP™ 18 panels cover the main façade of the truck and 18 make up the rear screen behind the DJ booth, while two are modified for the front of the machine. “We built the truck specifically for the MVP™ 18 frame, since it can work with just about anything,” said Collyns Stenzel, owner of Advanced Concert Productions, LLC, which specified the panels. “Also, I modified two video panels to fit the front of the truck—made them 6 inches wide and left them at initial height of 2 feet.”

chauvet-cyrusborgore-web-3.jpg The Cream Machine has real headlights and taillights, a steering wheel, a dashboard and all the trimmings. “We had to come up with a concept that would look great on stage, and we can also take on the road and set into a trailer,” Lavery said. To complete the picture, a fiberglass cone installed on top of the car with a built-in speaker plays the characteristic music of an ice cream truck.

“Originally we were looking for something brighter than projection screens,” Lavery said. “Since CHAUVET® MVP™ 18 video panels have already been used in the Dayglow show, we thought it was already a good thing to go with CHAUVET® for this project. The panels are consistent, very bright and very easy to use.” With the wheels spinning, and the amazing video graphics displayed on the facades made of MVP™ 18 video panels, the Borgore Cream Machine creates the illusion of moving and depth. “My team came up with the concept to drive the truck into different worlds, such as hell land, candy land, underwater ride, space travel, videogame world and sex land,” Lavery said.
