AVIOM PRO64 HITS THE CLUBS WITH GERMAN BAND PHRASENMÄHER

HAMBURG, GERMANY, JUNE 30, 2011—As the members of the German band Phrasenmäher announced their plans for a 2011 club tour and CD release, sound and event company LR.Audio was busy designing the sound system for the band to take on the road. Hired by Phrasenmäher to run the show, LR.Audio chose an Aviom Pro64® Digital Snake to ensure quality sound for each performance and to eliminate the hassle of interfacing with the fixed gear of each venue at which the band typically plays.

In order to provide a better control of the audio mix, LR.Audio utilizes two Aviom 6416m Mic Input Modules to run audio to the Yamaha LS9 front of house console. The engineer then has the ability to create crisp sound mixes, which are distributed to the venues' speaker systems through an Aviom 6416o Output Module. Two 6416Y2 A-Net Interface Cards serve as the I/O to the console and give the engineer control of the 6416m units via m-controlâ„¢ for Yamaha digital consoles.

“The greatest advantage to the band is the system's reliability,” says LR.Audio Owner and Phrasenmäher engineer, Lukas Reichenberger, who was already familiar and very impressed with Aviom's capabilities prior to the tour. “For me, the best part is the improved sound quality and speed of set up. Having the freedom to use our own gear has its perks for all of us.”

Since the system runs off a single Cat-5 cable, Reichenberger is able to quickly incorporate his setup with each venue's speaker system while also reducing the possibility of cable clutter, which could be dangerous in a club setting.

“Given that we are able to use our own Cat-5 cable, we always know that our audio will work,” continues Reichenberger. “It is an added advantage that Aviom has such a stable system. Now we never have to rely on the club's gear.”

Because of all the success he has had with his Aviom gear, Reichenberger plans to use the system for future projects and is considering the purchase of the company's renowned Pro16® Personal Mixers. LR.Audio was founded in 2008 by Owner and Managing Director, Lukas Reichenberger. The sound and event company provides both rental equipment and mixing/tech management services.
